About English for Academic Purposes
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course prepares students for the linguistic and cultural demands of studying in an English-speaking academic environment. The program develops advanced reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, with a strong focus on understanding complex texts, building academic vocabulary, and applying critical thinking in an academic context.
Students learn how to conduct research, write structured essays and reports, reference sources correctly, and participate confidently in lectures, discussions, and presentations. By the end of the course, learners will have the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully into higher education.

Every week, your EAP classes will build the academic language skills you need to succeed in further study. You will develop discipline-specific vocabulary, formal writing conventions, and the reading strategies required to engage with complex academic texts. Classes focus on accuracy and coherence across all four skills, so that by the end of your course you can produce and respond to the kind of language expected at university level.
You will take a short progress test to revise what you have studied the previous week, assess your progress and keep on top of your studies.
