English for Academic Purposes

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course prepares students for the linguistic and cultural demands of studying in an English-speaking academic environment. The program develops advanced reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, with a strong focus on understanding complex texts, building academic vocabulary, and applying critical thinking in an academic context.

Students learn how to conduct research, write structured essays and reports, reference sources correctly, and participate confidently in lectures, discussions, and presentations. By the end of the course, learners will have the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully into higher education.

Important

To qualify for the EAP class, prospective students must achieve an intermediate level on a pre-entry test or be promoted from a pre-intermediate General English class.
